Donate to the Historic Collections

The Gresham Historical Society holds rich and varied historic collections of books, archival documents, photographs, and three-dimensional objects.  Nearly all of these materials have been acquired through the generosity of donors.  We thank you for your interest in helping us build our collections.

Due to limited space and other considerations, we cannot accept walk-in donations.  All potential donations are reviewed by the GHS collections committee, which evaluates donation offers at quarterly meetings.  Any materials left at the museum without notice or proper review are considered abandoned property and are subject to the procedures outlined in ORS 98.005.

Potential donations are assessed based on the following qualities:

• The specific relevance to the history and development of Gresham and the surrounding communities
• Similarity to other items or materials already in the collection
• Relevance to aspects of Gresham’s history not represented in existing collections
