Gingerbread Contest Rules

Entries must follow the theme "Christmas Through the Ages" for 2025

Entries must be constructed of gingerbread.

All other visible materials used must be edible.

Professional bakers must register in the professional category.

If you are paid for your baking, or if you have won 1st place in the non-professional contest in the past, you are considered a professional.

No kits allowed in the professional division.

Non-professional bakers may use gingerbread house kits.

Size: 20"x20" at the base and no more than 42" high.

We are not able to display larger entries.

Professional entries must use a ½” or ¾” plywood base; cardboard bases will not be accepted in the professional division.

Your assigned Entry ID number must be displayed on the lower right corner of the base for voting.

No electronic components allowed.

An accurate list of materials must be submitted with the entry.

Structural components that are not outwardly visible do not need to be included.

Registration fee: $25. Limit one entry per business, group, or family.

Registration is open Sept. 15 – Nov. 15 or until capacity is reached. $25 payment due Nov. 15.

Delivery appointments must be scheduled Nov. 24–26.

All entries must be removed Dec. 20 after awards, or they will be disposed of.

Entries will be judged on overall appearance, difficulty, creativity, and originality.

Winners will be announced December 20th at 4:30 pm during the annual awards ceremony.

$750 - Display Sponsor

Sponsor a wall display of Christmas decorations in the museum. Your business logo will be a part of the display.

$1,000 - Tree Sponsor

Sponsor one of 6 beautiful Christmas trees in the museum gallery. Your business logo will be displayed next to the tree.

$2,000 - Special Event Sponsor

Sponsor our special events throughout the holiday season. Your business logo will be displayed at each event and featured in related promotions.

$2,000 - Ornament & Gingerbread Cookie Sponsor

Sponsor our holiday gingerbread cookies. Your business logo will be included on the cookie packages shared with guests.

$5,000 - Presenting Sponsor

Your business logo will be displayed prominently at the event and on all promotional materials. Only one Presenting Sponsorships will be available!
