Join us at the Gresham Historical Museum for a public exhibit reception for the Marvelous Miniatures of Bruce Plumb with the family of Bruce Plumb as our special guests! This is a casual reception that presents an opportunity for the public to hear about Bruce Plumb and his remarkable work.
Bruce Plumb was around 14 years old when his family moved from Chicago, IL, to the wartime housing project of Vanport, Oregon. Bruce eventually joined the Navy, which is where he learned the skill of carpentry. Once he returned to civilian life, he decided to switch to bricklaying since it was more lucrative, but he still loved woodwork. Mr. Plumb channeled his passion into the miniature masterpieces that are currently on display at the Gresham Historical Museum.
