Gresham Outdoor Public Arts is commissioning a historical statue of Gresham’s first mayor Lewis Shattuck and his family.

The bronze statue will be created by local sculpture Heather Soderberg. GOPA will gift the statue to the museum during an unveiling ceremony in November 2019. The statue will be accompanied by a small exhibition about the Shattuck family and Gresham’s first year as an incorporated city of Oregon.

Lewis Shattuck is highlighted in the photograph above featuring the Shattuck and Sleret families.
